NewTechWood warranty at a glance.
Residential product warranty
NewTechWood's Residential Limited Warranty covers UltraShield siding for 25 years against manufacturing defects. The amount covered decreases over time. Installation, removal and reinstallation costs are excluded.
Stain and fade coverage
The separate NewTechWood Stain and Fade Performance Limited Warranty excludes fading and staining from normal weathering. Its stain coverage describes food and drink spills on residential decks. It does not make the siding stain or fade proof.
Limited lifetime workmanship warranty
A lifetime limited workmanship warranty is available as an optional upgrade on qualifying full replacements. Your project consultant can walk you through it.

Is NewTechWood the same as composite wood siding?
NewTechWood is a manufacturer of composite siding with the look of wood. UltraShield is its capped composite technology. The boards are different from solid wood siding.
Does NewTechWood composite siding need maintenance?
Yes. The siding needs cleaning and care. Dirt, mineral deposits, mold and mildew can build up depending on the conditions around your home. We discuss upkeep at your consultation.
Can you paint NewTechWood siding?
No. Painting or adding coatings voids NewTechWood's warranty. Choose the finish you want when planning your siding project. Compare samples at your consultation.
Can NewTechWood siding go over existing siding?
No. NewTechWood does not allow installation over existing siding boards. We remove the old siding and inspect the wall underneath. The new siding needs a water barrier and an air space behind it.
Will NewTechWood siding fade?
Yes, color can change with weathering. NewTechWood's separate Stain and Fade Performance Limited Warranty excludes fading from normal weathering. We explain the coverage when you compare siding options.
Can damaged NewTechWood siding be repaired?
Yes. We check the siding condition first. If a repair is needed, we provide a repair estimate and then schedule the service.
Can NewTechWood siding be installed in winter?
Yes, on days when temperatures stay above freezing. We schedule the work around NewTechWood's installation guidance.
