Skylight, glass and controls
VELUX provides a 10 year limited warranty against defects in glass skylights and flashing. Insulating glass has 20 year coverage for seal failure that clouds the view, parts only. Controls, electrical parts, solar panels, rain sensors and remotes have 5 year coverage. Product coverage excludes labor.

Installation coverage
VELUX's 10 year No Leak installation warranty applies only to listed models and approved flashing kits. It requires an original residential installation and one layer of properly installed roofing. The skylight must come from an authorized VELUX dealer. Installation must follow VELUX's skylight and flashing instructions. Labor coverage has limits and excludes lifts.

Limited lifetime workmanship warranty
A lifetime limited workmanship warranty is available as an optional upgrade on qualifying full replacements. Your project consultant can walk you through it.
Certifications

Our crew has completed VELUX's installation training. We follow the manufacturer's requirements for the skylight, flashing and water barriers. Licensed and insured: 13VH13329600, Westchester WC-39352-H25. Your project consultant provides proof at the consultation.

What sizes do VELUX skylights come in?
Sizes depend on the model. We measure the roof opening and check the framing before recommending a size. Your project consultant checks VELUX's size options for the skylight you choose. Your estimate names the size.
What is the difference between fixed and venting skylights?
Fixed skylights stay closed. Venting skylights open for fresh air as well as daylight. VELUX calls its venting range Fresh Air.
Can you install a VELUX skylight without replacing the roof?
No. Future Remodeling installs skylights only as part of a roof replacement. We inspect the existing skylight and surrounding roof before recommending work. If the skylight is sound, we say so. Explore our skylight services for inspection and replacement options.
Can you help me choose a VELUX skylight?

How much does VELUX skylight installation cost?
The estimate depends on the skylight and the work around it. Size, opening type, roof access and any framing or interior work affect the scope. We inspect your home and build a personalized estimate for the roof and skylights. The inspection is free.
Why does my VELUX skylight drip in winter?
Condensation can cause drips when warm indoor air meets cold glass. An ice dam can also back water up under the roofing. We check the skylight and surrounding roof to find the cause. If a repair is needed, we provide a repair estimate and then schedule the service.
Is a VELUX Certified Installer required for warranty coverage?
No. Certification is not a condition of VELUX's installation warranty. The skylight and flashing must qualify for coverage, and installation must follow VELUX's instructions. Being a VELUX Certified Installer means our crew has completed VELUX's installation training.
