Painted finish
Standard PVDF paint coverage runs for 35 years for film integrity, chalking and fading, subject to its terms. Some colors have separate, shorter coverage. Standard finish coverage excludes installation labor and does not cover roof leaks.

The metal beneath the finish
Galvalume steel has a 25 year limited substrate warranty. Aluminum has 25 or 30 years of substrate coverage, depending on proximity to salt water. Drexlume has its own 25 year limited warranty.

Limited lifetime workmanship warranty
A lifetime limited workmanship warranty is available as an optional upgrade on qualifying full replacements. Your project consultant can walk you through it.

Which Drexel Metals standing seam metal roof panels fit my roof?
Your roof's slope helps determine the panel system. Each system has its own slope requirements and metal choices. We measure your roof and explain which options fit before you choose a finish.
Can I choose a copper standing seam metal roof from Drexel Metals?
Yes. Drexel lists copper for its 100SS, 150SS and 200S systems. Ask your project consultant which copper systems we can offer for your roof.
Why do Drexel Metals panels sometimes look wavy?
Flat metal panels can develop visible ripples, called oil canning. Drexel treats this as a cosmetic trait, not a material or structural defect. We discuss the appearance before you choose your panels.
Can Drexel Metals roofing be used near salt water?
Yes. Aluminum is an option near salt water, subject to Drexel's warranty conditions. Drexel excludes Galvalume steel and Drexlume coverage for the metal beneath the finish within set distances of coastlines, bays, marshes and canals. Aluminum coverage has separate conditions, including edge protection and recorded annual freshwater rinsing. We review the salt water exclusions with you before recommending a metal.
Does Drexel Metals' paint warranty cover roof leaks?
No. The paint warranty covers the finish. Leak coverage requires a separate Weather Tightness Warranty with its own approval process. Ask which coverage is available for your proposed roof.
Can I add solar panels to a painted Drexel Metals roof?
Solar panels or solar film applied to PVDF paint void Drexel's paint warranty for that material. Tell your project consultant about solar plans before choosing the roof.
