How a solar roof project runs
Here is what to expect from the first visit to the final walk-through. The solar is planned and installed as part of each step, not by a second company afterward.
Your project consultant inspects the roof and the attic, takes photos and goes over the findings with you. Your estimate names which sections of the roof get solar shingles and which get asphalt shingles.
Once you approve the estimate, we set the dates and line up the materials. Your Project Leader meets you before work begins and reviews the plan. That includes the electrical work and the utility connection needed before the system is switched on.
The crew arrives at the agreed time, and your Project Leader oversees the work. The solar shingles and the asphalt shingles go on together as one roof. We document the process with photos. We keep the work site as clean as possible.
We check the roof edges, every vent and pipe, and every place where solar shingles meet asphalt shingles. Then we go over the finished roof with you. A GAF Energy representative then finishes the system and connects it to the grid. We tell you what to expect from that visit. We are here for you long after the project is done.

Warranty
GAF provides manufacturer warranties for its solar shingles and roofing system. Your project consultant explains the applicable coverage for your project. A lifetime limited workmanship warranty is available as an optional upgrade on qualifying full replacements. Your project consultant can walk you through it.
