Manufacturer product warranty
A GAF Lifetime Limited Warranty is available with Woodland shingles and at least three qualifying GAF accessories. Lifetime applies while the original individual owner or an eligible second owner owns the property. The property must be a single-family detached residence. Lifetime coverage does not apply to other owners or buildings.
Smart Choice Protection
GAF describes Woodland's limited transferable warranty as including Smart Choice Protection for the first ten years. Eligible material and installation labor coverage is not reduced because of the roof's age during that period.
Algae discoloration warranty
A 25 year StainGuard Plus Limited Warranty covers blue-green algae discoloration. It applies only to shingles sold in packages bearing the StainGuard Plus logo.
Limited lifetime workmanship warranty
A lifetime limited workmanship warranty is available as an optional upgrade on qualifying full replacements. Your project consultant can walk you through it.
Certifications
GAF Master Elite®
The top of GAF's three residential tiers, and it matters because of one document. The Golden Pledge® Limited Warranty can only be offered by a Master Elite® contractor, and even then it needs a qualifying Timberline® shingle and at least five qualifying accessories, not just the certification. GAF's own conditions for the tier are insurance, licensing where a state requires it, years of experience and customer reviews.
How a roofing project runs
We review the plan before the crew arrives.
Here is what to expect from the first visit to the final walk-through. The steps are the same whether we repair one leak or replace the whole roof.
Inspection
Your project consultant inspects the roof and the attic, takes photos and goes over the findings with you. Your personalized estimate is built at the same visit.
Preparation
Once you approve the estimate, we set the dates and order the materials. Your Project Leader meets you before work begins and reviews the plan. We review where the crew works, where materials go and how we protect your home and yard.
Installation
The crew arrives at the agreed time, and your Project Leader oversees the work. Most roofs are installed in one day. We clean up before the crew leaves.
Completion
We check every detail before we call the project finished, then go over the finished roof with you. We are here for you long after the installation.

What are GAF Woodland shingles made of?
Woodland is an asphalt shingle with the appearance of hand-cut wood shake. It has a deep, irregular profile. Future Remodeling installs it with the protective layers and that make up a complete GAF roofing system.
What colors do GAF Woodland shingles come in?
GAF lists Castlewood Gray and Cedarwood Abbey. Your project consultant brings samples to your consultation. If neither suits your home, compare the colors in other GAF shingle lines.
How long do Woodland shingles last?
There is no single lifespan for every roof. Installation, attic ventilation, weather and upkeep all matter. We inspect the roof and attic before recommending work.
What is Smart Choice Protection?
It is an initial period of coverage for eligible material and installation labor under GAF's warranty. During that period, coverage is not reduced because the roof is older. Your project consultant explains the covered costs and limits.
Does Woodland qualify for the WindProven wind warranty?
We do not offer Woodland with coverage. GAF describes that warranty for Timberline shingles with LayerLock technology. For that option, compare Timberline HDZ and Timberline UHDZ.
Can a damaged Woodland roof be repaired?
Yes. We check the condition of the roof first. If a repair is needed, we provide a repair estimate and then schedule the service.
